CT scanning—sometimes called CAT scanning—combines special x-ray equipment with sophisticated computers to produce multiple images of the inside of the body.

Using specialized equipment and expertise to create and interpret CT scans of the body, radiologists can more easily diagnose problems such as strokes, bleeds, cancers, cardiovascular disease, infectious disease, appendicitis, trauma and musculoskeletal disorders.

The Radiologists of Nash X-Ray Associates work with the dedicated and experienced technologists and modern multi-slice CT scanners at Nash Hospitals to maximize  image quality  and minimize radiation exposure.

Areas of the body commonly assessed include:

  • Abdomen & Pelvis
  • Chest
  • Head
  • Neck
  • Sinuses
  • Spine
  • Specialized vascular studies (CT Angiography).  These can include the Chest to evaluate  for blood clots in the pulmonary arteries, Neck Abdomen and Legs to evaluate  for arterial blockages or narrowing
  • Dedicated Multphase enhanced studies of the abdominal organs to evaluate tumors
